Salon booking software: services, staff, and online appointments
By AACore Team
Salon booking software should help a client answer three practical questions: Which service can I book, who can provide it, and when is that person available? A polished page matters, but a clear service list and a booking path the staff can actually deliver matter more. Here is a way for a salon, nail studio, barber, or independent beauty professional to evaluate AACore Booking.
Show a useful service menu before asking for a time
List services in language clients recognize. Add a realistic price and duration for each directly bookable service. Group related services so someone can find a manicure, haircut, or treatment without reading an unstructured list. AACore Booking's service catalog supports categories, service details, pricing, duration, and a public business page. The service catalog guide explains the setup controls.
If a service's scope or price varies significantly, explain what is included or use an appropriate quote path instead of presenting a misleading fixed appointment. Your booking page should reduce questions, not merely move them to a later conversation.
Match clients with the right professional
In a multi-person business, the available time is only useful if the right person can perform the service. AACore Booking separates team access from service-provider eligibility. A receptionist can help manage the business without appearing as a bookable stylist, while a provider can be assigned the services they actually perform. Review individual availability and service permissions as part of setup. The personnel and access guide walks through these distinctions.
For a solo provider, the same principle applies in simpler form: publish only the services and hours you can honor. Test a client booking from a phone and verify that the appointment appears correctly on the business calendar.
Give clients a clear booking decision
Clients can browse the public page, choose a service and an available time, and review details before confirming. Where AACore AI is enabled, a client can describe the appointment they want in a conversation. The assistant prepares options; the customer still reviews and confirms the result. This is the demonstrated customer-facing text experience. Voice booking is listed as coming soon, not a current feature. Compare the standard booking flow with the AACore AI flow.
Put your policies where they can be understood
Beauty appointments can involve late arrivals, cancellations, or deposits. AACore Booking allows a business to set cancellation notice, customer appointment messages, and deposit options when applicable. Deposit settings depend on a connected Stripe account. Make the policy readable, and test where the client sees it in the booking summary and confirmation. Do not assume that setting a policy automatically resolves every late-arrival or refund decision. See the policy and deposit guide.
Keep the phone and walk-in path too
Online booking does not mean turning away a client who calls or walks in. AACore Booking lets staff create an appointment on behalf of a customer and search existing customer records first, helping avoid duplicates. A staff-created customer record is not the same as a verified customer login. The walk-in and phone booking guide explains that distinction.
Try the journey your salon actually sells
Set up two different services with realistic durations. If you have a team, assign them only to eligible providers. Book once as a new client, once with AACore AI if your plan includes it, and once as staff for a phone inquiry. Check the resulting calendar entries and confirmation details. Examine the AA Nails demo for an in-store example and the AA Hairs demo for hair services and staff scheduling.
AACore Booking can provide the website, booking, customer, invoice, and payment workflow around your services. It does not guarantee that people will discover your salon or that every client will book without help. Your photos, local presence, clear offers, and customer care still matter.
